Quick Top® ends turn metal cans into a convenience package

Quick Top® easy-opening (EZO) ends add convenience and performance to metal cans.

Research shows that not only are consumers willing to pay more for the convenience of EZO ends, but they tend to let products with traditional ends continue to sit in the cupboard while brands with EZOs are selected first. Brands that convert to EZO ends also realize sales lift, due to consumer preference.

To ensure that Quick Top® ends are best-in-class, Silgan continuously seeks consumer input and, as a result, has numerous improvement projects underway – including senior-friendly initiatives. Subtle nuances such as making the back of the pull tab flat (not rounded) provide a better tactile surface for grasping. Another subtle modification is bending the tab slightly to enable easier finger access.

To meet your consumers’ preferences, Silgan has several Quick Top® alternatives so that you can select the right type for your metal can application. Quick Top® ends can be made in either steel or aluminum, as well as in specialty sizes for those proprietary-shaped applications. And if you require a full panel, peelable foil solution, there is a Quick Peel™ foil end alternative to fit your needs.
