Fruit Makes a Fancy Profit
In the fruit category margins are tight and consumers are fickle – so does switching to Silgan’s Quick Top® ends really make a difference?  It did for Del Monte in the Fall of 2004.

Del Monte switched to Quick Top® ends and quickly out-performed the total fruit category.  This type of packaging now accounts for nearly 50 percent of Del Monte’s total fruit sales.
