Reclosability is strongly desired for pet foods

Sixty-eight percent of dog owners and 66 percent of cat owners wish that pet food was sold in a reclosable container. A large number of them find that their pet does not consumer the entire container and they are faced with figuring out how to properly store leftovers. Dot Top® ends from Silgan are a great solution. Designed to snap over metal containers, the metal lid features a small plastisol tab (dot) in its lid. To access, the consumer peels back the tab, thereby releasing the vacuum. The lid can be easily removed and, just as easily, reclosed.
